Frederick W. Meyers is a Partner of Ladas & Parry. He was admitted in 1981 to the Ohio State Bar and in 1985 to the Illinois State Bar. He was licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1983 and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Meyers received his B.A. in 1978 from the University of Arkansas and his J.D. in 1981 from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Meyers is a former U.S. Trademark Examiner. Mr. Meyers handles international trademark prosecution and oppositions. He is a member of the Chicago Bar and served as past Chair of their Patent, Trademark and Copyright Committee. He is an active member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago where he has served on the Board of Managers, has chaired several committees and currently chairs the Advertising Law and the Internet Committee. He is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association (Chairman, Regulatory Analysis Committee, Latin American Subcommittee, 1996-1997).
Mr. Meyers is currently developing an on-line course on Foreign Trademark Law as adjunct professor. He has extensively lectured on international trademark practice.
