Eric D. Babych is a patent attorney with Ladas & Parry LLP in Chicago. Eric prosecutes both domestic and foreign patent applications in the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology fields. He also has experience advising clients on issues related to patent infringement and validity.

Prior to joining Ladas & Parry, Eric worked for two years as a medicinal chemist at Arena Pharmaceuticals in San Diego, California. While at Arena, Mr. Babych performed complex multi-step organic synthesis and became a co-inventor of International Patent Application No. PCT/US2004/043609. After leaving his career as a chemist to attend law school, Eric became licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and interned with a biotechnology patent law firm.
