Bangladesh has enacted the Trade Marks Act, 2008, that allows for the registration of service marks.  Although the Act is not yet in effect, we have been advised that the Trademark Office began accepting applications to register service marks on February 15, 2008. Applications for the registration of service marks can be filed under the 9th edition Nice classification for services in classes 35 to 45.
