Manhattan "Super Lawyers"

Ladas & Parry LLP partners Janet Cord, Lanning Bryer and Daniel Zendel have been selected as Manhattan "Super Lawyers", the annual guide published by Law & Politics that recognizes the best lawyers in the area.

Super Lawyers are chosen by a peer review process and independent research through Law & Politics' nomination, review, and research process.

Ms. Cord has wide-ranging experience in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and non-U.S. patent applications in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, chemistry and medical devices. She has drafted and negotiated global license agreements and material transfer agreements with a focus on health care. She has litigated patent infringement and trade secret cases and has been the lead attorney in a number of patent interferences. Ms. Cord has written and lectured on global patent practice and litigation. Currently, she is chair of the Finance Committee of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York.

Mr. Bryer is Director of the firm's Mergers, Acquisitions and Licensing Group. Mr. Bryer and his practice group have counseled clients on numerous worldwide transactions associated with the sale, acquisition, licensing and collateralization of their intellectual property rights. He is an active committee member of several intellectual property organizations, including Licensing Executives Society, INTA and the ABA. He currently serves as International Articles Editor for The Trademark Reporter. Mr Bryer has written and lectured extensively on foreign trademark practice and commercial transactions involving the acquisition, financing, and licensing of intellectual property. Mr. Bryer is co-author and co-editor of a treatise titled Worldwide Trademark Transfers, a two-volume treatise titled Intellectual Property in the Global Marketplace and, more recently, Intellectual Property Assets in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Mr. Zendel's primary area of practice is in the field of International trademark law and protection. He has also counseled clients in the field of intellectual property licensing, with an emphasis on trademark licensing, both domestic and international. Mr. Zendel has published numerous professional articles in the fields of trademark and franchising law and has lectured at Fordham Law School. In addition, Mr. Zendel has chaired and served on several committees of the International Trademark Association and American Bar Association.
