Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) - Membership

The following countries have become members of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), as of the following dates:

Papua New Guinea
June 14, 2003
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
August 6, 2002
Seychelles
November 7, 2002
Syria
June 26, 2003

Since Botswana is also a member of the African Regional Industrial Property Organization (ARIPO) and is the only current member of ARIPO that is not a member of the PCT, PCT applications designating ARIPO whose international filing date is on or after October 30, 2003 will henceforth be able to cover all ARIPO member countries.
