Ukraine - Revised Trademark Law

The Law of Ukraine on the Protection of Rights in Trademarks and Service Marks was amended, effective February 6, 2001, to provide, inter alia, that actions by third parties to cancel a trademark registration must be brought before the court, rather than the Board of Appeal, as was previously the case. The law also simplifies the information needed to record assignments and license agreements.
