Trinidad and Tobago - New Patent Law

We reported on the new patent and designs law in Trinidad and Tobago in our July 1997 Newsletter. The new law came into effect on October 12, 2000. Under its transition provisions, after October 12, 2001, it is no longer possible to apply for registration of British patent or British parts of European Patents.
