Bhutan has become a party to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, effective August 4, 2000.

Effective July 7, 2000, the Madrid Agreement and the Protocol Relating to that Agreement, to which the People's Republic of China is a party, are not applicable to the Macau Special Administrative Region of China.
