Turkey has acceded to the European Patent Convention with effect from November 1, 2000 and it has become possible to designate Turkey in European patent applications filed on or after that date. It is not, however, possible to designate Turkey when entering the European regional phase of a PCT application unless the PCT application itself was filed on or after November 1, 2000.
