Russia - New Customs Ordinance The Russian State Customs Committee issued an executive order entitled "On Tightening of Supervision Over Movement of Goods Incorporating Intellectual Property Assets," which entered into effect on May 27, 1999. In order to monitor more effectively goods that cross the borders of Russia which might infringe intellectual property rights, the new order requires that customs inspection reports include, inter alia, the names of owners of any trademarks, trade names, appellations of origin and copyrights that appear on the goods. |
