Yugoslavia - Imposition of United States Sanctions On June 1, 1998, President Clinton issued an Executive Order blocking
all property and interests in property of the Governments of Yugoslavia,
Serbia and Montenegro. Although the Order does not specifically
include or exclude the ability of United States parties to transact
intellectual property matters in Yugoslavia, the Office of Foreign
Assets Control ("OFAC") subsequently issued clarifying regulations,
authorizing the transaction of most intellectual property matters
in Yugoslavia.
