St. Helena - Service Mark Protection and Multi-Class Filings Permitted by Registrar

In order to obtain trademark protection in St. Helena, it is necessary to proceed by way of extension of a British registration. The Act provides that any person being the registered proprietor of a trademark in the United Kingdom may apply to have such trademark registered in St. Helena.

The Registrar has now formally ruled that the owner of a multi-class registration or a registration covering services in the United Kingdom may extend such protection to St. Helena.
