The government of the People's Republic of China has announced that following the reversion of Hong Kong to Chinese sovereignty, the Berne Convention will continue to apply to Hong Kong and that the Chinese Government has assumed the international rights and obligations under the Convention of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
