On February 1, 1997, the Government of Switzerland deposited its instruments of ratification of the Trademark Law Treaty and the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, both of which entered into effect on May 1, 1997, with respect to Switzerland.
