On July 15, 1996, Nicaragua's Congress approved the Protocol of Modification to the Central American Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property. However, the Protocol will not enter into force until two months after approval and ratification by three member countries of the Central American Convention and we shall defer our substantive comments on the Protocol until then.
