We have been informed that Andean Pact Decision 344, as reported in our November 1995 Newsletter (N.S. 186), entered into effect in Bolivia on September 2, 1996. The principal provisions of Decision 344 were summarized in our Information Letters N.S. 181 and 182. The industrial property law of Bolivia is now governed by Decision 344, and also by the existing national laws, to the extent that the latter do not conflict with the former.
