We have been advised that a Provisional Statute on Trademarks and Service Marks entered into force in Armenia on November 19, 1995, and that the new law is similar to the Russian Federation Trademark Law (discussed in our Special Information Letter of December 15, 1992), except that the new Armenian law apparently does not include provisions concerning collective marks and geographical indications.
