The Republic of Djibouti has deposited its instrument of accession and has become a member of the African Organization for Intellectual Property (O.A.P.I.). All trademark applications filed at the O.A.P.I. after January 26, 1995 will be valid for Djibouti, although it is not yet clear whether pending applications and granted registrations in Djibouti may continue to be prosecuted and renewed, respectively. We are monitoring developments closely and we shall keep our clients informed.
