People's Republic of China - Adheres to Budapest Treaty China adhered to the Budapest Treaty on International Recognition of Deposited Microorganisms with effect from July 1, 1995. Accordingly, as of this date, it is no longer necessary
to send samples of micro-organisms for deposit in China if access to that organism is necessary in order to comply with
Chinese law relating to sufficiency of disclosure in patent applications. Henceforth this requirement can be met by a
Budapest Treaty deposit with any International Depository Authority recognized under the Treaty.
