Uganda has joined the Patent Cooperation Treaty with effect from February 9, 1995. Uganda is a member of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization and may only be incorporated in a designation of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization in a PCT filing. Indeed, this is the only way in which Uganda may be designated in a PCT application.
