The Government of Iceland deposited with the World Intellectual Property Organization its instrument of accession to the Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks, and its declaration of ratification of Articles 1 through 12 of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, both of which entered into effect in Iceland on April 9, 1995. Iceland has also joined the Patent Cooperation Treaty with effect from March 23, 1995.
