Romania has signed an agreement with the European Patent Office which will, when it comes into effect, permit extension to Romania of patents granted by the European Patent Office in a similar manner to those which permit extension to Lithuania and Slovenia. The arrangements for extension to Slovenia were discussed in our Information Letter N.S. 182.
