Liberia - Publication of Trademark Registrations

Liberian trademark law requires that the Secretary of State publish the particulars of accepted trademark applications. However, publication of the Liberian Official Gazette ceased in 1978 and it is unclear when publication will resume. Accordingly, one of our Liberian Associates has indicated that it may be advisable for trademark registrants themselves to arrange for publication of the particulars of their registrations in a local Liberian newspaper. Any clients desiring assistance or additional information concerning this procedure may contact us.
