Tajikistan - Adherence to Intellectual Property Arrangements

The Government of Tajikistan deposited a declaration with the World Intellectual Property Organization that the following international intellectual property arrangements continue to apply in Tajikistan:


1) Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization;

2) Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property;

3) Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks;

4) Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks;

5) Locarno Agreement Establishing an International Classification for Industrial Designs;

6) Patent Cooperation Treaty;



7) Strasbourg Agreement Concerning the International Patent Classification;

8) Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms; and

9) Nairobi Treaty on the Protection of the Olympic Symbol.

Tajikistan does not yet appear to have adopted any of the international copyright conventions.
