As reported in our Information Letter N.S. 181, Japan has extensively revised its Law for the Prevention of Unfair Competition. We have now received confirmation that the revised law became effective on May 1, 1994 and we refer our clients to Information Letter N.S. 181 for a summary of its key provisions.
