Hungary has enacted amendments to its copyright law that will come into effect on July 1. Under the amended law the normal term of copyright will be extended from a period of life of the author plus 50 years to life plus 70 years. Provision is also made for the first time for the protection of sound recordings and radio and television broadcasts.
